The obligatory eye test for learner driving licences, boat licences, forklift and crane driver's licences or the rewriting of an existing driver's licence of all categories is uncomplicated and can usually be carried out without an appointment.
Visual acuity, field of vision, eye movement and colour vision are tested. Normally, the test takes no longer than 10 minutes and usually costs CHF 20.
